H.Y.P.E Summit
The Carrollton Housing Authority Abstinence Education Program will be hosting its 5th Annual Teen Summit Event on September 24, 2011, 11:00am to 3:00pm. This event is free and open to Carroll County teens between the ages of 10 and 19, their parents, educators, and community leaders.
The purpose of the summit is to educate our youth on the importance of making smart and healthy life decisions. This year’s theme is entitled the H.Y.P.E Youth Summit 2011, which is an acronym for Helping Youth Pursue Excellence. It will be an opportunity for teens to experience a positive youth movement pertaining to healthy decision making, goal setting, self-discipline, abstinence, positive character, and much more.
The summit will include parent workshops and a ton of interactive games for the youth to participate in. We will also be raffling door prizes including desktops, Laptops and other digital, teen-friendly items. Parents will also have raffle opportunities for household items and gift cards.
The event is absolutely FREE and everything is all-inclusive.

The Carrollton Housing Authority is excited to announce the start of its free After-School Educational Program (AEP) for adolescents ages 10 to 16 years old. The program will operate from two separate sites in the city of Carrollton starting October 18th. For more infomation click here.
