It’s the New Year and a new start for the Carrollton Housing Authority Abstinence Education Program (AEP). The past year was a success and we are optimistic that the year 2009 will be even better! Many participants and staff have made New Year’s resolutions that enable them to be better, more productive citizens, students and community leaders. Speaking of resolutions, one that will never change for AEP is our commitment to continuing efforts in promoting and providing abstinence until marriage education to community youth, schools, and organizations. We need your help to make this resolution remain a reality.
The AEP is continuously seeking new enrollments. The program is absolutely free and open to any youth between the ages of 12 and 18 years. We currently have four main sites within the city of Carrollton and two community outreach sites. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and we also conduct one Saturday activity and/or event per month, for participants to attend.
The Carrollton Housing Authority Abstinence Education Program is funded under the Community Based Abstinence Education (CBAE) Grant, administered by the Administration for Children and Families, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
